Corporate Member Council - CMC Excellence in Engineering Education Collaboration Awards

The CMC Excellence in Engineering Education Collaboration Awards recognizes ASEE Corporate Member Council (CMC) member companies that demonstrate best practices in their collaborative efforts with education to enhance engineering education. Companies are recognized for their excellence for innovation, collaboration and support to collegiate level education or pre-college (K-12), Community College, etc.) and support to science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). Multiple awards may be presented each year, at the discretion of the awards committee. The award is presented at the Conference for Industry and Education Collaboration (CIEC) and consists of a distinguished award plaque.

To be eligible, a company must be a current member of the ASEE Corporate Member Council and commit to having a representative present during Industry Day at the Conference for Industry and Education Collaboration (CIEC) to receive the award. The same company can be recognized for both pre-college and collegiate level collaborations.

Nominations are to be submitted by November 15 to the attention of the Chair of the CMC Awards Committee. Nominations must indicate the company name, contact person, address, phone and e-mail addresses; name of the program, project or title to use on award and an abstract of the program or project (limited to 500-600 words or less).

The abstract of the program or project must include: goals of the program; demonstration that the goals were reached; an assessment of the program that reflects on the strengths of the program and areas for improvement; description of the partnerships and the roles each played; and the sustainability of the program. Attachments of materials from or about the program are not required. Nominations of programs not awarded are not held over and must be resubmitted.
