Engineering Deans
Council - Promoting Engineering Education and
Careers Award
This award, sponsored
by the ASEE Engineering Deans Council, recognizes
those organizations that develop print, broadcast,
or media directed toward influencing students
in grades K-12 to enter engineering schools
and to pursue an engineering career. The award
is funded by the ASEE Engineering Deans Council
and consists of a suitably inscribed plaque
to be presented at the ASEE Engineering Deans
Council luncheon held during the ASEE Annual
Conference & Exposition.
Criteria:
Qualifying entries must be those that are
directed toward recruiting students in grades
K-12 to pursue education and a career in engineering.
Originality will be a key factor in the selection
of the winning entry.
Nomination:
Any member of ASEE may nominate an organization
for this award. In addition, nominations may
be submitted by the organization that sponsored
or created the media for which the nomination
is made. The award may be given in any year
that the selection committee chooses a recipient
from the candidates nominated. If no winning
candidate is selected, the award will not
be given.
