ASEE ANNUAL CONFERENCE IN VANCOUVER - This year's conference in Vancouver, BC, Canada was one of the most successful in ASEE history with over 2200 prime participants, 1725 published papers and 422 technical sessions. Dr. Karl A. Smith, Cooperative Learning Professor, Engineering Education, Purdue University - Professor of Civil Engineering, University of Minnesota was the keynote speaker at this year's Main Plenary, which included six presentations highlighting evolving and emerging practices in engineering education. ASEE K-12 WORKSHOP IN VANCOUVER
- On Saturday, June 25th, ASEE
held its 8th Annual K-12 workshop, "Collaboration Can Improve Engineering
Education," with over 200 attendees from Canada and the United States.

ASEE GLOBAL SYMPOSIUM - The ASEE Global Symposium for Engineering Education will be held in partnership with Shanghai Jiao Tong University in Shanghai, China October 24-25, 2011.Selected talks and panels will highlight current activities such as new research parks in China, innovative educational approaches in Asia and the United States. Focused working groups will identify opportunities for new initiatives and partnerships that can further the role of engineering education as a global economic driver.
WORLD ENGINEERING EDUCATION FLASH WEEK - Participating societies include the International federation of Engineering Education Societies (IFEES, for which ASEE serves as secretariat) and the European Society for Engineering Education (SEFI), which is an ASEE collaborative partner. The conference will be held in Lisbon, Portugal September 27 to October 4, 2011. Details are available at www.wee2011.com
PROJECT MANAGEMENT INSTITUTE - The PMI Research and Education Conference will be held July 15-18, 2012 in Limerick, Ireland. This conference is the premier international project management research and education event. The conference provides an opportunity for attendees to present and discuss new project management research findings and teaching methods.
