Sun. June 26, 2011 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM
107/108, Vancouver International Conference Centre
Ticketed event: $35.00
This ticketed event is $25 advance registration and $35 on-site registration. In this workshop, you will gain experience using a robust set of tools developed at Georgia Tech for improving student oral presentations. After participating, you will be able to articulate why these tools are workforce-relevant, describe the research process used in their development, and assess how they can be effectively applied with your students. Groups will first share current opportunities and instruction for oral presentations at their campus, followed by an orientation to the rubric and supplemental materials, an assessment of skills in the rubric most relevant to your setting, and practice using the rubric for real student presentations.
