Success in undergraduate and graduate school can be hard to find. This session will focus on tricks of the trade/lessons learned along the way in undergraduate and graduate school to promote success. Topics for these themed paper sessions include, but are not limited to: 1.) Research/experiences related to succeeding in instructor opportunities, as teaching assistants, and as course tutors; 2.) Best practices for serving as a teaching assistant, lecturer, or course tutor; 3.) Advice for new graduate students - about your advisor, your first conference, time management, stress management; 4.) Research/experiences related to starting and finishing a senior thesis, master's thesis, or dissertation; and 5.) Discussion of innovative academic of outreach experiences that contributed to your success as an undergraduate or graduate student.
