The ABET General Criteria for Accreditation has undergone several changes in the past three years with full implementation for programs occurring starting in the 2011-2012 accreditation cycle. The fundamental focus of these changes was to bring the General Criteria across the four ABET Commissions (Applied Science, Computing, Engineering, and Engineering Technology) into a consistent language and process where appropriate. The proposed changes were available for public review and comment during that time resulting in several improvements to the criteria. This session will highlight how the criteria and self-study questionnaire have changed as a result of these efforts. There will be ample opportunity for those in attendance to ask questions.
