University of the Pacific, School of Engineering and Computer Science (SoECS), Department of Mechanical Engineering, Assistant Professor Opening. A tenure-track faculty position is available at the Assistant Professor level beginning in Fall 2018. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or closely related engineering discipline. Candidates for this position should be interested in working with a student-centered, teaching-oriented faculty that prides itself on the quality of its undergraduate program. They should be willing to teach a range of undergraduate general engineering classes and labs as well as upper-level undergraduate and graduate level M.E. classes in areas that include but are not limited to Controls, Automation, Mechatronics, or Materials. Faculty members are also expected to perform scholarly activities and professional service commensurate with the requirements of University of the Pacific and School of Engineering and Computer Science.
