Organizational Unit Overview
Housed within the College of Engineering and Technology, Technology Systems (TSYS) offers five undergraduate degrees, three masters' degrees, four graduate professional certificates, and participates in a consortium-based PhD program. The department has 32 full-time faculty mem bers and employs an average of 15 part time instructors each semester to serve approximately 1,400 students.
Job Duties
The College of Engineering and Technology seeks a 9-month fixed-term position starting fall semester 2018 to teach, advise, and provide service in the Department of Technology Systems with a program focus in Information and Computer Technology. The major teaching and research responsibilities will focus on networking and information technology related areas including network management, cyber security, wireless networks, virtualization, database management, mainframe technologies and web technologies.
Faculty members are expected to provide leadership in developing, teaching, and maintaining curriculum in the undergraduate programs using both traditional and distance delivery methods. In addition to teaching, advising, and providing service, active involvement in outreach to industry is required.
Minimum Education/Experience
A Master's degree in Computer Science or a discipline related to Information and Computer Technology is required. All degrees must be conferred from a regionally accredited institution.
Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education
A terminal degree in computer science or a discipline related to Information and Computer Technology is preferred. Experience in teaching undergraduate technical courses is desirable.
