The Department of Mechanical Engineering invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position at the level of Assistant Professor commencing in fall 2018. The successful candidate will be a dynamic individual with background in either robotics or mechatronics, although other specialty areas, such as bioengineering, may also be considered. Furthermore, they will have broad laboratory expertise in measurement techniques and instrumentation used in all areas of mechanical engineering. Required qualifications: Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, or in a closely related technical field, specializing in robotics or mechatronics, or in some other specialty area within the discipline and demonstrated broad laboratory expertise in techniques and instrumentation used in all areas of mechanical engineering. Desired qualifications: P.E. license; relevant teaching experience; and engineering experience in industry.
