The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Gonzaga University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position at the level of assistant professor in the area of materials and manufacturing, commencing fall 2018. The department is seeking a dynamic individual with a background in materials and manufacturing. Individuals with expertise in computational materials science, multiscale modeling, biomaterials, extractive processes, mesomanufacturing, additive manufacturing, manufacturing systems, nanotechnologies, and green manufacturing are encouraged to apply. Applicants should also have laboratory experience in materials testing, wet chemistry, and manufacturing. Required qualifications: Ph.D. in mechanical engineering or a closely related technical field, specializing in materials and/or manufacturing. Desired qualifications: P.E. license, relevant teaching experience, laboratory expertise, and engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
