Architectural Engineering
The Missouri University of Science and Technology (formerly University of Missouri-Rolla) invites applications for a position in architectural engineering in the Civil, Architectural, and Environmental Engineering Department. The appointment is anticipated to be at the assistant professor level. Of primary interest are candidates whose teaching and research expertise lies in the area of building systems. Interdisciplinary candidates with an interest in building mechanical systems (e.g. lighting, electrical, HVAC, etc.) and sustainable building materials are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will be expected to develop an externally funded, nationally recognized research program involving MS and PhD level students as well as a strong commitment to teaching excellence at the undergraduate and graduate levels. An earned baccalaureate degree in architectural engineering, civil engineering or a closely-related field from an ABET/EAC accredited or equivalent program and an earned PhD degree, preferably in architectural, civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering are required. At least one degree in architectural engineering is highly desirable. Superior communications skills, leadership capabilities, and the ability to motivate and inspire undergraduate and graduate students are also required attributes. Practical experience will be considered an asset. The successful candidate will be expected to become a licensed engineer within six years of appointment. Responsibilities:
Support the biomedical engineering technology program by teaching undergraduate courses, advising students and service. A tenure track faculty position will require the development and execution of a research program in clinical facilities management and applications of six-sigma techniques to the clinical environment.
Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will have a master’s degree (for rank of lecturer) or earned doctorate (for tenure track position) in administration, business, technology or related discipline and at least three years of clinical experience. West Virginia University is conducting a national search to fill the position of Chairperson of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. The vision of the College of Engineering and Mineral Resources includes discovering knowledge, fostering learning, and empowering West Virginia. The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering plays a key role in meeting this vision.
WVU is a Carnegie Classification High Level Research Institution and a public land grant university. On its main campus in Morgantown, WVU enrolls over 28,000 undergraduate, graduate and professional students. The Department offers BS, MS, and PhD degree programs. It currently has 15 tenure track faculty, 9 research faculty and/or research associates, and 7 support staff. The College of Science, Engineering and Technology at Murray State University is seeking applicants for the Chair of the Department of Engineering and Physics. The department, with 8 full-time tenured/tenure track faculty and approximately 110 majors, offers baccalaureate degrees in engineering physics and physics. The engineering physics degree program is EAC/ABET accredited and has concentrations in electrical and mechanical engineering, with biomedical engineering recently added. Chair, Department of Engineering The University of Southern Indiana invites applications for the position of Chair of the Department of Engineering. The ABET accredited Department of Engineering offers a flexible, applied program that allows students to take coursework in four different programs - Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial - leading to the Bachelors of Science in Engineering (BSE) degree.
