The American Society for Engineering Education is approaching its 130th year of existence and a crucial component of its member experience is the technology systems that underlie its membership and conferences experience.
This role is meant to be the key staff member to coordinate between the IT and Membership Services team. ASEE carried out a migration of its core systems from Monolith to a set of Software-as-a-Service solutions. Due to member response, this migration was partially reversed in late 2022 and New Monolith (NeMo) was brought online as a paper management system to replace the SaaS solution. ASEE software development cycle is attuned to our Annual Meeting timeline which is the one of the largest gatherings for STEM educational researchers in the United States. Our systems provide support for the exciting and innovative insights uncovered by our members and other educators in all elements of engineering education. ASEE’s software supports the dissemination of that important work.
