INNOVATE. INSPIRE. EDUCATE.

America’s leadership in the global economy and high quality of life and opportunity stem from engineering and technology research. Innovations in these areas fuel economic growth, fortify national security systems, improve healthcare, and safeguard the environment. But sustaining American preeminence in these areas will prove difficult without a highly trained workforce and technologically literate citizenry.

Educators agree that the solution lies in cultivating a lasting love for engineering, science, technology, and math from the very beginning of a student’s education. To answer this call, engineering educators have created a broad variety of activities to make these subjects fun and accessible to students in grades K-12. From outreach programs to off-the-shelf curricula to student competitions, engineering educators are working with their colleagues in elementary, middle, and high schools to develop and deliver engineering education activities for the K-12 classroom.
