ASEE Accreditation Activities Report
The current ABET accreditation cycle is underway. This is the third cycle since ASEE became the "lead society" for programs such as Engineering Science, Engineering Physics, Engineering Technology, Engineering, General Engineering, and similarly named programs. ASEE has about 20 programs evaluators assigned for this year, and all of the evidence ASEE has is that they are performing an outstanding service for all concerned.
With this news release ASEE is soliciting nominations for new program evaluators, and is soliciting ASEE members who meet the qualifications to apply to be program evaluators. Potential evaluators currently employed in industry and government are important contributors to this process. Further information may be found on the ASEE Accreditation Activities Committee page.
ASEE encourages people who wish to contribute to this service to apply, and encourages others to nominate people they believe would be major contributors. |
