Lecturer in Electrical and Computer Engineering
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Schaefer School of Engineering and Science, Stevens Institute of Technology (Stevens) invites applications for a lecturer (non-tenure track) position, starting on August 16, 2021.
The primary responsibility will be instruction in two of the undergraduate engineering core courses: “Engineering Design 4: Systems with Analog Circuits” and “Circuits and Systems.” Additional responsibilities may include teaching other undergraduate courses and advising undergraduate students on electronic system projects.
Applicants should have earned a Ph.D. in Electrical or Computer Engineering or a related discipline. Successful candidates will have a demonstrated interest and commitment to excellence in undergraduate education and mentoring of students with diverse backgrounds. Applicants are expected to possess a passion for and be committed to excellence in undergraduate teaching and mentoring and aspire to actively participate in creating and nurturing a highly collaborative, creative, innovative and entrepreneurial culture at Stevens. Candidates with strong industry background in circuits and systems design are of particular interest to the department.
The ECE department at Stevens currently has 24 full-time faculty, including 1 NAE member, 5 IEEE Fellows, 3 NAI Fellows, and 8 NSF CAREER recipients. ECE faculty are dynamic, collaborative colleagues dedicated to inspiring and educating the next generation of electrical and computer engineers and technical leaders through innovative, interdisciplinary, and impactful research and education programs.
