This Fall, Art Center College of Design is sending its students and faculty into Kampala, Uganda to conduct field research and to develop design solutions to social challenges affecting the community.  They would like to invite you to learn alongside of them.

Join ACCD for Notes From the Field, a series of Live Online Discussions with faculty from Art Center¹s Media Design Practices department reporting directly from the field as their students conduct their Field Practicum in Uganda.

Special Track “IT and Engineering Pedagogy”
(ITEP’13)


The objective of this Special Track is to offer an open discussion and a
reflection in the use of Information Technologies in Engineering Education and
their Pedagogy. It also intends to foster the involvement in continuing education,
bridging the gap between higher education and the industry by focusing the IT
use in lifelong learning and training. At K-12 level this session intends to evaluate
the impact of IT in fostering younger people in the field of science and
technology.

At any level it is important to evaluate the IT power in facilitating the
collaborative work everywhere.

Finally, it is relevant to consider the IT potentiality in improving engineering
education conditions in developing countries and for those people with special
needs.
