Journal of Engineering Education

Journal of Engineering EducationWelcome to the Journal of Engineering Education (JEE), the research journal for engineering education. The journal of choice for over 8,500 subscribers in nearly 100 countries!

The Journal of Engineering Education is a peer-reviewed international journal published quarterly by the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) in partnership with the Asociación Nacional de Facultades y Escuelas de Ingeniería (ANFEI) in Mexico, Australasian Association for Engineering Education (AAEE), Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), Internationale Gesellschaft für Ingenieurpädagogik (IGIP), Latin American and Caribbean Consortium for Engineering Institutions (LACCEI), and Mühendislik Dekanları Konseyi (MDK).

If you are a prospective author, we invite you to submit your manuscript to the Journal of Engineering Education.  Each year, over 600 international authors from 50 countries choose to submit their research to JEE.  The journal focuses exclusively on scholarly educational research in engineering education.  We offer a large international readership and a highly cited archive.  We also offer timely and expeditious peer review.  Authors normally receive a response from the editor on the suitability of their manuscript for peer review within two weeks of submission, and if the manuscript is forwarded for peer review, they also normally receive the results from the peer review process within 90 days of submission.  If accepted for publication, manuscripts are normally published within one or two upcoming issues of the journal.  More information about submitting a manuscript may be found in our Guide for Authors.

If you are a prospective subscriber, we invite you to join thousands of international readers who seek to stay abreast of the latest and most highly regarded advancements in engineering educational research.  For example, in 2007, an article appearing in JEE was awarded the Outstanding Research Publication for education in the professions by the American Educational Research Association.   Our articles cover a wide range of subjects including what knowledge and competencies engineers must possess and how they are learned and assessed, how educational methods, materials, infrastructure, and faculty affect learning, and how to attract, engage, and retain diverse human talent to engineering.  Individual members of ASEE, ANFEI, AAEE, ISTE, IGIP, LACCEI, and MDK are eligible to receive the Journal of Engineering Education as a member benefit.  More information about subscribing may be found in our Subscription Information
