THE UNIVERSITY OF OKLAHOMA SCHOOL OF CHEMICAL BIOLOGICAL AND MATERIALS ENGINEERING (CBME) PROFESSOR OF PRACTICE

The School of Chemical, Biological, and Materials Engineering (CBME) at the University of Oklahoma invites applications for a non-tenure track professor of practice to provide support and leadership for the laboratory teaching of chemical engineering. Duties will include teaching multiple sections of laboratory classes, managing teaching laboratories, supervising graduate TAs and instructors, grading lab reports, coordinating equipment maintenance with lab technician(s), ensuring close involvement with core course faculty, and participating in review and assessment of course objectives. A critical component will be to manage laboratory safety. We expect that the candidate will help integrate the experiments into our laboratory curriculum. Candidates must hold an earned doctorate in chemical engineering or closely related discipline and have significant experience in the private sector. Applicants with process engineering experience in industrial pilot plants and/or industrial design experience are preferred.
