Central College (https://www.central.edu) seeks two dynamic faculty members with strong teaching skills to engage with undergraduate students pursuing an ABET-accredited B.S. degree in engineering. The successful tenure-line candidate will have a Ph.D. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or a related area). One of the positions requires electrical and controls experience; the other position is predominantly mechanical. Also desired is industrial work experience including engineering design; preference will be given to licensed Professional Engineers (P.E.). Lecturer candidates, with an appropriate Master’s or Ph.D. degree, may also be considered.
Undergraduate courses related to control systems, signals and systems, theory of machines, statics, dynamics, mechanics of materials, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer, in addition to other standard undergraduate engineering courses at introductory and advanced levels (including laboratories), are key components of Central’s engineering curriculum.
