Madison College in Madison, Wisconsin is hiring for the position of Associate Dean, Academic Affairs assigned to the School of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. This position advances strategic plans throughout the college and is charged with developing and implementing initiatives aligned with the College mission and future vision, including equity and inclusion activities and goals.

As member of the academic leadership team, and in partnership with the Dean, the Associate Dean is responsible for leading, implementing, and assessing the School’s strategic priorities. The position manages and supervises faculty and/or staff.

As the Associate Dean you will:

• Support, design, and oversee a student-centered approach to School initiatives and practices to ensure efficient and effective practices, meeting the needs of students, faculty, and the community. Manage the School in collaboration with regional campus managers, faculty, and staff, so School operations are responsive and student-centered.

• Collaborate with the Dean and faculty to implement continuous improvement efforts and plans related to School culture, initiatives, goals, and strategies to ensure that programs, disciplines, and services are responsive to stakeholders’ needs and reflect excellence and quality.

• Manage the program budgets of the School to achieve financial objectives and meet School needs.

• Support faculty in the development of curriculum that reflects the needs of our community, business & industry, and higher education partners and ensures students are provided flexible learning opportunities meeting their changing needs. This includes the facilitation, development, and execution of curriculum policies, portfolio management, and course delivery strategies.

• Use data and analysis to inform enrollment management strategies.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education Level: Master's degree from a regionally accredited college or university (or from an international institution with official degree-granting recognition by the Ministry of Education or equivalent body authorized to oversee academic tertiary institutions in the country).

Work Experience:

Three to Five years progressive leadership experience in an academic organization OR in a leadership role aligned with the requirements of the Associate Dean position.

AND

• Must have experience in the engineering (electrical, mechanical design, civil engineering, and electronic) and/or information technology (computer science) field.

• Experience managing a program or department, budgeting, and/or supervising employees.

• Teaching or training experience.
