Michigan Technological University, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering invites applications for three faculty positions at the assistant professor level to begin in the fall semester of 2024. Higher ranks may also be considered for exceptional candidates having outstanding track records in research and teaching. Applicants for the position are required to have an earned Ph.D. degree in electrical or computer engineering or a closely related discipline at the time of appointment.

Successful candidates will be expected to teach effectively at the graduate and undergraduate levels, have a record of research and scholarship in electrical or computer engineering, communicate effectively with students, professionals, and the general public, and successfully work with diverse individuals.

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering has 679 undergraduate students, 104 graduate students, 24 faculty, and 8 staff members, with aggressive goals for growth in coming years. The department has active research programs in image and signal processing, remote sensing, robotics, communications and sensor networks, electric energy systems, and electrophysics.

Electrical & Computer Engineering is one of nine departments in the College of Engineering, which comprises over 4,100 of Michigan Tech’s total enrollment of approximately 7,300 STEM-focused students.
