Missouri Western State University (MWSU) seeks an Executive Director of Workforce Development/Assistant Dean in the College of Business and Professional Studies to lead its new Convergent Technology Alliance Center (CTAC) located on MWSU’s campus in St. Joseph, Missouri. CTAC, a joint venture between MWSU and North Central Missouri College (NCMC), represents a unique 4-year university and 2-year community college partnership intentionally focused on growing Northwest Missouri’s skilled manufacturing and construction workforce. CTAC will be home to collaborative educational programs delivering practical, applied learning in skilled manufacturing and construction professions as well as innovative service technologies such as cybersecurity and novel applications of sensor technology and information technology that drive those sectors. These activities will advance economic, business, partnership, and program development as consistent with the mission and objectives of MWSU and as aligned with our region’s workforce needs, employment opportunities, and professional advancement capacities.

The Executive Director/Assistant Dean will lead CTAC, a position requiring performance of administrative duties of substantial scope and complexity, including oversight of staff, budget, outreach, planning, program development, and facilitation of CTAC offerings.

The Director will lead collaborations with community partners and campus stakeholders to develop and support results-driven non-credit, credit, and professional development programs that have a positive, lasting impact on the economic well-being of the City of Saint Joseph and Northwest Missouri Region, also providing administrative support to the College of Business and Professional Studies Dean and to the Department of Engineering Technology.
