Ouachita Baptist University-Tenure-track Faculty Position

The Department of Physics and Engineering in the J. D. Patterson School of Natural Sciences at Ouachita Baptist University invites applications for a tenure-track position in Engineering to begin August 2023. The successful candidate will exhibit excellent teaching in the context of a liberal arts education; scholarly activity in the field; a collegial commitment to professional, university, departmental, and community service; and a Christian commitment consistent with the University’s vision, mission, and values. Primary responsibilities will include teaching a wide range of general engineering, engineering mechanics, and mechanical engineering courses as part of a new engineering program seeking ABET accreditation. Additional opportunities exist for on and off campus engagements, such as research or professional development. Rank and salary are dependent on qualifications. All qualified candidates will be considered, but preference will be given to those who have a PhD in mechanical engineering or a PE and experience in the field.
