Assistant Professor in Electrical Engineering
Penn State Berks (Reading, PA) invites applications for a Tenure-Track position at the rank of Assistant Professor position in Engineering, beginning August 2024. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teach electrical discipline courses in the first two years of the engineering baccalaureate programs and courses in the electro-mechanical engineering technology baccalaureate program. Possible course topics include PLCs, DC and AC circuits, digital circuits, microprocessors and microcontrollers, motors and generators, 3-phase power, computers and networking, device interfacing, digital signal processing, automated control systems, and software programming. This position carries a teaching load of nine contact hours per semester. The successful candidate will conduct robust research that leads to publications in scholarly journals, advise students, and provide service to the program, division, college, community, and profession. QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants are required to have a doctorate in electrical engineering or a closely related field by the start date.
For the tenure track position, applicants are required to have a doctorate in electrical engineering or a closely related field by the start date.
For the non-tenure line position, a minimum of a Master's degree in electrical engineering or closely related discipline is required.
