The School of Engineering at the University of St. Thomas seeks outstanding candidates in our Department of Civil Engineering for tenure-track roles. Candidates interested in a one-year visiting position are also encouraged to apply. The positions could begin as early as Fall 2023. With the completion of the new engineering facilities and expanded Civil Engineering labs slated for spring 2024, this is an exciting time of growth in the School of Engineering at St. Thomas. As a student-focused institution with a strong hands-on curriculum, we emphasize undergraduate and graduate education that provides technical excellence with a significant emphasis on real world applications.
Candidates with excellence in all areas of Civil Engineering are welcome while special consideration will be given to candidates with exceptional talents for teaching, engaging students in their research and those who possess an entrepreneurial spirit to flourish in a rapidly growing program. Professional Engineer (PE) licensure and significant industry experience are also preferred. Successful candidates will be expected to contribute to scholarly teaching of undergraduate and graduate courses and student advising. All applicants must have demonstratable skills necessary for excellence in teaching. The candidate will be expected and encouraged to grow a research program that engages undergraduate students.
