Geographic Councils

The 50 states and Canada are divided into four zones for geographic convenience; each zone comprises three section. Individual members of the Society are assigned a geographic sections. Each individual member is identified both by a section and a zone and is represented on the Board of Directors by the chairperson of the Council of Sections comprising that zone. The objectives of these Councils, as reflected in a common set of Bylaws, are:

  • To provide a formal section and a chapter structure to promote, encourage, and facilitate the various activities of ASEE within the designated zone, and
  • To provide a means of direct individual member representation to the Board of Directors.
